Los Gatos Historic Commercial District: To discover well-preserved examples of the Mission/Spanish Revival and Romanesque architecture from between 1975 and 1949, stop by the Los Gatos Historic Commercial District. Featuring 19 buildings across 50 acres, this area was affirmed as a historical district in 1991 after several buildings were destroyed in the devastating 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake.

History Museum of Los Gatos: The local history museum features constantly changing exhibits with a permanent collection that depicts the history of the pioneer days in Los Gatos. Even the building is a historical landmark as it was originally part of the Forbes Mill Annex.

Mountain Winery: The Mountain Winery’s beautiful grounds boast impressive vistas, landscaped gardens, and redwood groves that encircles their terrace resulting in an ideal outdoor venue. Home to the annual Summer Concert Series, the historic Winery Building, with it’s ivy-covered stone structure, engenders Old World ambiance, providing a dramatic stage backdrop.  This intimate setting ensures an exceptional experience for star performers and guests alike. 

Los Gatos Mountain Trails: Bring your hiking shoes! With trails starting downtown that branches into the hills of Los Gatos, this complex of trails is a favorite local spot that is most popular in the mornings and early evenings. If you are looking for a more leisurely hike, the Scout Trail starts just east of the freeway overpass on East Main Street. This hike offers charming shady creek-side groves leading up the mountain.

Vasona County Park: The 151-acre park is a popular spot among Santa Clara Valley residents and is a great spot for hiking, sports, recreation, and picnics. On the weekends, many Los Gatos residents’ head to Vasona County Park to fly a kite, toss a Frisbee, or play a game of soccer, softball, or volleyball. Vasona Lake allows non-power boating year round and there are rowboats and paddleboats available to rent.
